M. F. Hussain: His Initials Say Who He Is

He was born in Maharashtra, India. His own mother died when he was 1 and half year old. But the motherless young Hussain learned art to strip his mother India naked and showcase it to the world!! Visibly, even to the blind, this series of paintings shows off his perverted mind.

No one utters a word. Why? Because his ugly paintings brings millions of rupees. His wealth equating to his value as a person is respected by all the 'liberals' and the hi-fi Indian Intellectuals. Simply because they associate themselves only with the wealthy. Shit on neighbor's wall, we won't ask you to justify, because you are Rich and Famous!. Above all he belongs to the religion that is a minority in India other than J&K.

Look into the Showcase link above. No explanation is required to demonstrate his sick mind. He chooses to paint ONLY Hindu deities naked, including his mother India. He is very lucky to be born Muslim. Indian government do not question him. His website (may not be official) terms it as "Religion and creative freedom are once again on a collision course! ", the demand to withdraw his nude mother India painting. Artist's freedom of imagination? Sure. He will someday sell the world a painting of his own ***** priced $1 million :)

I wish he painted Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Mayawati as naked, and we could wait and watch reactions from the same 'liberal' public. I wonder why he did not paint Madhuri Dixit that way?!

The protests against his nude paintings of Hindu deities did not get much exposure over the media, as it goes without saying that when the protestors are from any of the Hindu organisations people just don't care. You don't care for people dieing in Kashmir anymore because that's the story everyday. Neither will those who claim to be peace mongers, ethical religion, most civilised, most secular, most modern, most scientific religions did not protest against Hussain's Hindu nude paintings. Why would they? They must be happy that Hussain is doing part of their job of demeaning Hindu religion. That's called Unity in India!!!

But MF Hussain is a happy billionnaire at the cost of stripping his Mother India. His character is abbreviated to two letters in his name. Should I explain more?

Our Paisas??

In the year 1998 I had an opportunity to live on my own outside India. My experience of shopping in the US gave me a glimpse of Buying Power. I did not bother much to buy a $1000 handy cam, which if I had to buy in India at that time would not have been possible simply going by cost of living at that time. A car costing half a million to couple of million dollars were available too. No I couldn't buy or even dream of one of those, but Americans could buy such expensive cars.

But shopping at a mall or a mexican grocery shop was reasonable for me. At the counter the girl generates a quick (no mental math even for a 10 + 90 + 1.30 + 5) automatic billing machine. Prints out $2.35 + tax. Say around $3.11 something. I would have change 10+5 cents. I pay $3 and 15 cents and walk out. She calls me back, hands over the change 4 cents (four 1 cents!)

There were days when my father could not afford to buy us crackers on Diwali. We were not rich or even medium rich. My favourite lunch at school, if I did not take lunch from home, used to be two buns or/and a mango - with salt and chilli powder smeared (I just loved it.) I remember I could buy 200 tiny biscuits for just Rs 2. My pant pockets used to swell with load of those biscuits :) We grew up with tiny paisas. A rupee could buy soooo much....

Paisas: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25 denominations. Where did they all go? I could fill my stomach for a lunch with just Rs 2! Why did those paisas go extinct?

There were days when a beggar would accept 10 Paisa or even 25. Today 5 rupee is minimum. Even the useless beggar has no value for anything less than that. The least coin you can see now is 50 paisa.

But America has its 1 cent even today!!!! They have 1, 5, 10, 50 cents (Cent, Dime, Nickel to a Dollar.) Why? I wonder how? Sorry I really don't understand the currency economy.

The most robust economical country still has value for a cent, and a developing nation like India has no value for even a 2 rupee!! We do have lot of poor people in India who could have had most need of the lower denominations for their small expenses everyday. You have Rs 2 items in sachets today in India, just because the poor can buy them.

We will be a rich country again when we get back those 1, 2, 10, 20 paisas. Don't you think so?

For the first time in my life I tasted the 'extra' money I earned working extra hours as IT consultant in California. I did not even know that such arrangement existed between business. The consultancy company that used my skills and services to support their clients, charged the client on a hourly basis on me. During IT boom, the hourly price was very high for an experienced software engineer. But we wouldn't get the entire amount if we weren't on our own. Consulting company takes a good share and passes on the rest to us. That was good enough for us. We earned well. We could go on vacations to Hawaii, East coast, Florida Cruise what not! That was possible because I could charge for every 15 minutes of my extra work. We used this extra money for our extra entertainments :) In India I round it off to one hour! We don't care for those buffer times.

So what did it mean to me with regards to paisas I have been talking about? Every hour counted! Every minute counted! Time is Money. Time has Value. Time you put in the project has value. Time in project is perfectly planned out with no wasting of time. Every minute is estimated, resources are costed, time frame as planned was maintained. Why were they so damn serious about it? Simply because Time is Money.

A burger with Tomato, Onion, Mayonnaise, 1 chilly will cost me about $2.49. For the same burger with No Tomato, No Mayonnaise I would pay $2.10!! Of course the tomato and mayonnaise has a cost associated with it which has to be counted. Thats the market economy.

If Time is Money for Indian government, if government employees of all departments work efficiently within the time and maximize production, our tax money paid as salaries to them and welfare of their children will all be worth. If government cuts on running 100 cars when 2 or 5 cars is good enough to fetch a minister from airport to his office and back to airport ...or sometimes even to drop his son at school and buy grocery on the way to his house...they will be concerned about the Time and Money.

A young boy works in a motor repair/mechanic shop. He would be paid a small salary. He lives at that rate for years. No increase of his salary, no worry about improving his lifestyle. If he was paid by hours, if he was paid for the value owner derives out of the boy's expertise, if the boy's health is compensated sincerely in terms of proper medication....the business does well. Time converts to money, Better performance gets more work on hand within less Time. And everything else will be taken care of. How is your car repair cost estimated? How is labour cost estimated in private businesses? What parameters from the economy is taken into consideration?

At a local vegetable market you sure experience improper weighing (a bit less or more) of whatever you buy. Quality of the vegetable is hardly questioned by most. You have no choice. Vendor has his last say. Who controls the vegetable prices? What determines the price at once place in a city to another? Within Bangalore you can get 10 different prices for 1 kg of Tomato in different areas. The aggregate loss and gain in this market is benefited mostly by vendors and wholesale suppliers, not the consumer. Consumer is always at a loss either paying more for less quantity and quality or value for material which no one has control on. This is another story about how the value for an item is degraded regularly everyday.

Hope we get back our 1 paisa. It will, when the economy affects value of a material and Time counts Money.

Caste system of India: Poor "Dalits"

Why don't anyone ever look at the CASTE system as a fallacy deliberately misused only by some? Why not look at the REAL meaning of VARNASHRAM from which the CASTE has been grossly misinterpreted. A monstrous negativism is instilled in the minds of the so called Dalits. They are reminded of their oppression over and over again making them susceptible to another type of oppression called "brain wash."

Varnashram

If once you start a discussion on this topic, there is unending contradictions in the concept of CASTE relevant today to what the original Vedas ever said about Varnashram. The attempt to poison the minds of Indians is evident here.

It is true that the Dalits (I really don't know who coined this word and when) are the suppressed lot. They were looked down upon when there was the demon 'Untouchability' in India. But these Dalits were brainwashed by opportunistic religions which made them to believe anything and everything Hindu is just Brahmism. This is a gross misconception thrown into their ignorant minds. So when you look up any information about Dalits on the Internet every site writes hatredness about Brahmins. More than Dalits managing these sites, it appears that there are vested interests of other religions who take control of what is said on these sites. Obviously the intentions are clear.

Lets analyze the system. There is nothing called CASTE in Vedas. But there is VARNAS. Today the caste system has become a lineage, meaning, children of a Brahmin couple are automatically Brahmins, of Shudras are automatically Shudras and so on. The very definition of Brahmin sounds illogical in this order. Because to be a "Brahman" is to have aquired worldly knowledge. What does a new born child know about anything? Did the child grow up and choose to be or not to be a Brahman? What it takes to be a Brahman? Knowing of Brahma (The creator of this Universe: The creation of Universe and all its entities) is possible by practicing Brahminism: Is by growing up closer to God. Because Vedas are embedded with information on creation of Universe, a person with true interest in learning, with no biases from his known world, can only understand the Vedas perfectly.

Caste and Religion: Their Relevance to present day situation

They were not written by Brahmins!!! The unknown writers later became Brahmans simply because they understood Brahma. Veda Vyasa was not known to be a Brahmin until he wrote the Vedas. He is awarded Brahmin rather. Valmiki was not a Brahmin. Where are their descendants now? Are they brahmans? (I notice I have been using 'Brahman' and 'Brahmin'. But both means the same in different dialects.) There has probably been some sections among these Brahmins who were half educated, half cooked knowledge went about defining their own logic of Brahminism and wanted to build their own 'empire'. Others were not worried about the politics. They just continued in their spiritual researches.

I understand the logic behind Varnas like this:

According to Varnas, every human is born Shudra. I associate it to mean "UnOrganized." Someone who is in the process of defining themselves, understanding their existence, just something like transforming from a "Nobody" to "Somebody." In this transformation process, one is likely to learn life by committing many mistakes and correcting it over a time. At some stage the human being will have to choose a path of life, professionally, morally, socially to set his position in the world's environment. He may choose to be a Doctor, Businessman or whatever. That reminds me of 'Idle mind is devil's workshop': Mind of useless human being. To me this is state of being a Shudra. Unorganized. Directionless. But it is a natural process, we don't have to be ashamed of this.

This definition perfectly seem to fit the concept of Varnashram. Everyone is born Shudra, chooses a life path of Vyshya or Kshtriya. But invariably almost all humans end up matured with knowledge of the world. To whatever extent one can understand this world and its mysterious connection with the self, that person has grown spiritually to understand the design of God in the manufacturing of this Universe. The more you learn about it, the more closer you are to the God. Knowing God is now a process of following Brahmanism (Brahminism.)

Then Popes, Prophets, Monks are Brahmins too.

I call for all "Dalits" (Sorry I didn't name them so) to become Brahmins even if you start the process in your old age, make sure you understand the Truth of our existence on this earth. Those Brahmins who have seen you as "low caste" do not count, they are negligible few in this world. You can be on your own with no help from them to learn Sanskrit (you lose nothing) and master the Vedas (This isn't personal property of Caste Brahmins.)

However, in terms of Life of Earth, and Life of Human beings on earth, looking at the outset, the time we all spent through ages to understand some concept, must be well used to churn out the TRUTH that actually is, instead of misusing.. misinforming.. misrepresenting the actual TRUTH in Vedas.

A tiny portion of Vedic Ocean, tweaked to serve selfish intentions of certain groups of people in the world, has created a disaster for Indian social fabric, with wounds never healing because the TRUTH is deliberately sealed off from the victims of this misinformation.

Stop using the words "DALIT" "UPPER CASTE" "LOWER CASTE" "CASTISM" "OPPRESSION" "POVERTY" "BRAHMIN" and you will start to see only the positives of this great country called Bharat.

Thanks for reading so far.
