China leaves India trailing in Research - Between 1996 and 2006, China registered a 20.74% growth rate in published research, while India’s growth rate was just 7.02%. India's budget for Science and Technology 2008-09: Rs 850 Million whereas China allocates same year: Rs 719 Billion (113.39 Chinese Yuan)!!
The World Bank report compares business regulations in the region with 175 economies around the world. The top-ranked countries are the Maldives (53) and Pakistan (74), followed by Bangladesh (88), Sri Lanka (89), Nepal (100), India (134), Bhutan (138), and Afghanistan (162).
