'Mother' Theresa and Mohan Bhagwat

Image
Reaction to the statement on 'Mother Theresa' by Mohan Bhagvat creates ripples, ire, protest from all quarters. Couple of years ago, even hindus hardly protested when Jayalalitha and congress (hand in glove) arrested and abused Shankaracharya! Eventually he was aquitted of all charges .  Not even a handfull was even bothered to react like how the christian community did to support Theresa. Thats the fate of Hindus everywhere, anywhere. We need a Bhagavat to keep Hindus from being pounded from several vested groups. If you check history of all episodes on various TV channels and print media, you will see how they abused, belittled Kanchi's Shankaracharya even before court gave it's verdict. The damage done in the society is irreversible. Now, will the same media treat Theresa the same way if Mohan Bhagvat can anyday prove her intentions of 'service'?

No Currency Minting Please.....!!

Image
If America's majority can live on Credit Cards, if many Indians use Credit and Debit cards, there is absolutely no paper money needed. Do away with coins too! Save Lakhs of Crores by doing away with hard cash. Just like how offices go paperless, currency can go Mintless! That means your money will be electronic. As such it sure is! Then why not expand the entire currency dealing to electronics? Advantage? No money goes unaccounted. No transaction will be a secret. No one can steal your money!  How to keep track of your money and not let some hackers simply move your digital money to another account? Well, our scientists, economists, mathematicians are brilliant. They will find a way out. As a layman, I think every source of your money must establish links to your destination account. Means, your company that pays your salary must link their "security transaction link" to your bank account. If your tenant pays rent, he pays it by bank. The transaction establishes...

Prevent stealing of Mobile Phones

Image
Very basic way to keep your cellphones safe is to tie it to a Retractable Key/Card Holder  that you lock into belt loop from inside the trouser's pocket. No big deal to stitch safety hook inside the pocket thats strong enough to not tear.  Courtesy link: SNAPDEAL.COM But what if you can still go electronics/tiny area radio signal way?! If your phone moves away 2 feet from your radio signaled detector/bluetooth, hidden somewhere in your body, then the phone beeps loud even if its silent mode! You catch the thief. If the real owner have to pick up the phone, s/he can type in the password to nullify detection for the moment. OR....There must be some way of the mobile phone detecting a hand by it's pressure, or position or skin print within 10 seconds of anyone lifting it. If its not the true owner that has picked the phone, it's internal security should generate high pitched siren!!  Or even, if skin or pressure detection is not possible, th...

Using high space for Emergency services

Image
Maybe we cannot have too many overpass and underpassing roads in Bangalore or such metros. But the space above is not much utilized for transport. The urgent need in such a city is to tackle emergency situations such as accident victims, health emergency or even helping stranded animals.  The access to such points should be made easy by not having ambulances wade through ungiving traffic but instead use the space above by constructing exclusive tracks across the city, in most efficient, optimising, convenient design. An ambulance that is like a box with all basic emergency serving equipments and fitted with pullys/cranes, must hang from these to pull up victims/patients.  These tracks must criss cross the city that connects from/through accident prone locations to hospitals.  Tailpiece: Ambulances must be fit with a radio and mobile signal jammers! While they move through the traffic, they jam the radios to let their siren be heard! :) Haven't...

Hindus discovered before they did.

Old news! But its always NEW when its about India's pride :) Here is what I found while reading about Sir Isaac Newton. Indians predated Newton 'discovery' by 250 years (link) "The beginnings of modern maths is usually seen as a European achievement but the discoveries in medieval India between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries have been ignored or forgotten. "The brilliance of Newton's work at the end of the seventeenth century stands undiminished - especially when it came to the algorithms of calculus. "But other names from the Kerala School, notably Madhava and Nilakantha , should stand shoulder to shoulder with him as they discovered the other great component of calculus- infinite series. "There were many reasons why the contribution of the Kerala school has not been acknowledged - a prime reason is neglect of scientific ideas emanating from the Non-European world - a legacy of European colonialism and beyond Read more a...

Seeing it all the way....

Old history could not be recorded properly and so cannot be considered valid. We just have to believe certain history just because someone recorded it by writing, in those times. And then came the revolution of print media, video, audio and biometric recording etc. Now you CAN make a hard proof of events. The facts of today, is a valid History of tomorrow. But looking at it from a philosophical and spiritual view, it could also be true that the mankind learns from experience s. And so, the transformation of human beings from discovery of fire, to discovery of ways to set satellites on a planet, the maturity process was a destiny pre-defined for us humans. If seen holistically, this is how the growth would be. This is the only way the progress can happen and so, the pattern that evolves in years to come, also has a specific direction, that is Destiny. Some can already see it, many may never !    (image: link )

Missionaries' Mission...

Graham Staines was in India, 'helping lepers', to serve his God. He got married, bore three children and the family were all missionaries. His children were studying, not in a government school, but in the best of schools in Ooty. Obviously he earned enough to put them in such a school. After he was murdered by tribals in Orissa, his wife apparently excused the murderers! And after 14 years, she is not even able to recognize the murderers who she had seen and forgiven. Whether this is noble or not, is not easy to judge. But the root cause of this crime was their own making. Staines was a missionary from Australia. He came to India to serve lepers. He should have! He did. But he did not just serve lepers, he also converted them to Christianity. As always, a missionary will never serve without returns. Their aim is to convert by 'helping' by being 'compassionate.' They cannot disprove this. If God wanted Staines to serve lepers and cure them, God would not ask...

My first Maha Kumbh Mela - 2013

Image
Panoramic view of Triveni Sangam (meeting of rivers Ganga and Yamuna) The sheer volume of people from all over the nation, descending at Allahabad for a spiritual dip in Ganga mixed with Yamuna river at Sangam, was something to be experienced being right there. Watching it over the TV or videos on websites would not have given us the same feel of actually looking at the mammoth assembly of people.  I stayed with Chandra Mouli, my long time buddy, in Hyderabad for two days. Enjoyed hospitality of his mother and sister who packed us 4 zip locked Puliyogares for our journey. Our first hurdle was to get the confirmed tickets to Allahabad on train. Having booked online, we were put on waiting list that was around 200 initially and was down to 20 something previous night. Next morning it was WL7! and charts closed! Mouli wanted to know if we should go or drop out since no ticket means we need to go unreserved, with no hopes of getting a seat for the next 36 hours! But I thoug...

The Vatican Archives about Hindu

T his post has nothing to do with Pope laying down his resignation. But it has only triggered me to look into 'matters' inside Vatican. Just out of curiosity I started to visit their official website and started searching for 'Hindu' and 'India'. Not a surprise to me that I found records of 1886 and older.  Some of the recordings of history of Christian push in India of those times, are painful to read, from the perspective of 'conversion' and that too a planned one leaving no stones unturned. How they worked with various christian groups to play with innocent minds of Hindus and slowly convert them without creating any suspicion in the minds of neither the public nor the authorities.  India was not their only target. Wherever they perceived gullible people they ruthlessly invaded with their religion, at even costing their lives. I wonder sometimes, why the eff would Jesus have ever preached such enforced conversion of humans to believe him?  Ther...

Open Letter to Karnataka CM Sri Sadananda Gowda

Please click here for Kannada Version Respected Sir, Your party had declared in the manifesto, before you came to power, that you will take concrete steps to wipe our corruption with certain time. The people of Karnataka handed over power to you with a great majority. The same people have placed repeated trust in your ruling by supporting you in other elections too. Despite this, corruption is abundantly, clearly visible to the public eye. Especially this is evident in the Police Departments. Their misuse of power and department's resources to extract money from public is shamelessly evident! Your government had talked about, or at least dreamed, making Karnataka one of the best State in the Country, comparable to Gujarat'...

The Author of God

Happens all the time. Invariably I end up sitting for more than the ‘empty’ time in my ‘Seat Of Knowledge’ (SoK), the toilet. And I wonder how when your system becomes lighter, your thinking becomes sharper :) It’s not surprising to me that I have found the place to have opened up whole world of TRUTH to me many a times. I sometimes have arrived at a closest solution to most complex ideas. My thoughts will be something like, how close artificial intelligence be compared to human brains, in couple of decades from now. Truth about God is my most interesting and haunting thoughts in SoK. Of course I get soaked in the thought.  The last ‘meditation’ was on ‘Why is the story of Gods across religions is NOT the same, if there was/is ONLY ONE God?’ Can there be a story at all? What crap is the story is all about? If you are a priest and reading this, please don’t bother to explain me God. I know a lot more than you do. But you are blind, I am not. My SoK transcends me to end of Univers...

Marijuana: Ancient Hindu medicine for health

Image
Surprisingly, I found some reasonably explained good health aspects of Marijuana ("Ganjika", "Soma Ras" in Hindu texts) used in correct preparation and measure. I am personally against use of drugs. This post is only an insight.

An incidence in school

LTTE alive in Tamil Nadu

Image
I happened to visit a temple outside the temple city, Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu. It's a small village, where I doubt if the temple priests make enough money, in spite of temple being centuries old. Here is a place where right outside the temple gate, you see the banner/poster of LTTE supporters. I am not surprised at the fiery looks of the photographs in the banner. What is Tamilnadu doing with LTTE? Why in India are we very open minded, all inclusive to this extent? What kind of politics encourages, supporters to such terrorist organization in India?

Predicted influence...

I had a hyper sensitive week two weeks ago. I realized very quickly after I reacted to situations impulsively. But its said and done. The damage was serious. I could not revert it. If I did, it did take a long time.  Happened to read "Varshaphal" (yearly prediction for 2010) for my birth date. Approximately during the week I just mentioned it did mention about the hyper sensitivity due to the influence of stars, planets whatever.  Could it really be true that it happens due to influence? There are ways we can control it within our limits but there are things you cannot.
